CREAL Art & Science seminar: Child prodigies and the early life origins of talent. Case in point: Felix Mendelssohn.

From the Art & Science Programme of CREAL, we inform you about the third seminar of the Programme.

CREAL Art & Science seminar: Child prodigies and the early life origins of talent. Case in point: Felix Mendelssohn.

    14th November 2014

    13:00 h.

    Xipre room

Artists: Kai Gleusteen, concertmaster of The Liceu and artistic director of Kaimerata.

Catherine Ordronneau, pianist of Kaimerata Concerts.

    Scientist: Joan Forns, CREAL

    Moderator: Martine Vrijheid

CREAL is very committed to develop research about the early life origins of health and diseases (the so called DOHAD theory; Gluckman PD et al. New Eng J Med 2008) and this is why when Kai Gleusteen highlighted the child prodigy background of Felix Mendelssohn, we thought that this could be an excellent topic for our third dialog with Kai Gleusteen and Catherine Ordronneau as an a activity of the Art & Science at CREAL.

Kai and Catherine will refer to Felix Mendelssohn as a child prodigy and introduce the series of Mendelssohn concerts they are performing at the Conservatori del Liceu.  Joan Forns, from CREAL, will dialog with Kai and Catherine from a scientific point of view. The dialog is intended to be informal and stimulate creative thinking in research.

Joint the seminar with us having a snack!!!
