European Educational Program in Epidemiology (EEPE)

As the first summer school in epidemiology established in Europe the Florence course has been attended since 1988 by over sixteen hundred students. The EEPE is sponsored by the International Epidemiological Association, the WHO Centre for Environment and Health and the Italian Association of Epidemiology. Epidemiologists, public health professionals, statisticians as well as clinicians with an interest in epidemiology have appreciated the opportunity of combining an intensive learning of epidemiological subjects with the unique attraction for cultural and artistic enjoyment offered by Florence and Tuscany.

Our codirector Manolis Kogevinas has been appointed as the new director of the European Educational Programme in Epidemiology (EEPE) that takes place in Florence and that next year which will take place from June 22 to July 10. The coordination of the course will be done by CREAL with Maria del Mar Ferrer as the administrative coordinator.

The EEPE is under the patronage of the International Epidemiological Association, the WHO Centre for Environment and Health and the Italian Association of Epidemiology and run in collaboration with several European Universities.

Epidemiologists, public health professionals, statisticians as well as clinicians with an interest in epidemiology have appreciated the opportunity of combining an intensive learning experience with the unique attraction for cultural and artistic enjoyment offered by Florence and Tuscany.
