The Centre for Research in Environmental Epidemiology (CREAL) has a mission to promote and develop advanced epidemiologic research on the environmental determinants of human health and to facilitate the prevention and control of these exposures.
The CREAL Sabbatical and Visiting Researcher Program (SVRP) offers an exceptional opportunity for talented researchers in areas of environmental health and epidemiology to spend their sabbatical leave or work during fixed-term collaborations at CREAL.
Visitors to CREAL will have the opportunity to work closely with researchers in the main research areas of children’s health, air and water pollution, respiratory diseases, cancer and radiation.
Visitors may also pursue collaborations with colleagues and in disciplines affiliated with CREAL, including the research centers of the Municipal Institute of Medical Research (IMIM), Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) Department of Experimental and Health Sciences (CEXS), the Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG), the Centre for Regenerative Medicine (CMRB), or the Institute of Advanced Technology (PET centre). These centers are gathered in the new building of the Barcelona Biomedical Research Park (PRBB), which also hosts various technology platforms. The proximity of such diverse biomedical and public health research in one single building offers perfect conditions for new models of interdisciplinary sabbaticals and visits.
The SVRP is coordinated by Elisabeth Cardis(ELIMINAR). Administrative support is given by Eva Herrero(ELIMINAR). Should you need further information, please contact Eva.
